A flamingo bends its head into a dark, star-speckled expanse, a sea teeming with unseen life. The white forms drifting through the depths evoke plankton, algae, and microscopic creatures that sustain the bird’s vivid colour.

Painted in watercolour and later layered with UV-reactive ink, the work reveals both the visible and invisible worlds that coexist within a single image. The ultraviolet flamingo skeleton remains as part of the painting’s truth, exposing the fragility of materials and the biological realities they mirror.
