The Blue Pool is a densely layered underwater world filled with fish, shells, strange sea creatures and fragments of imagined marine life. At the centre, a lone mermaid moves through the shifting patterns, becoming part of the pool rather than simply passing through it.
 
Originally created in ink with a restrained palette of blues, Blue Pool rewards close looking. New forms and small details continue to emerge across the composition, giving the piece the feeling of an ecosystem that is both familiar and invented.
