This is an original hand-painted artwork exploring the quiet, crowded life of the ground layer, the plants, insects, fungi, and small creatures often missed beneath our feet.
Set beneath a star-filled night sky, the piece draws the eye through grasses, wildflowers, and hidden creatures. At the centre, a dark footprint presses through the soil, turning the meadow into a scene of evidence: a trace of human presence left among lives that continue around it.
